Our mission

Inside China AI provides factual, in-depth coverage of artificial intelligence from China — the companies, models, platforms, regulation, and the people behind them. We contextualize rather than dramatize. Our perspective is European. Our standard is fairness.

We believe Europe needs better information about China’s AI ecosystem. Not as a threat narrative, not as uncritical tech admiration — but as sober, contextualized reporting that enables readers to form their own views.

Our Principles

Neutrality

We are neither a mouthpiece for Chinese tech PR nor a geopolitical alarm system. We examine AI companies and their products with the same analytical lens we’d apply to firms from Silicon Valley or Europe.

Transparency

We cite our sources and make clear when information is based on manufacturer claims that we cannot independently verify. We contextualize benchmark results critically. Our editorial standards are publicly visible.

European Perspective

Our starting point is Europe. For every topic, we ask: What does this mean for developers, companies, investors, and decision-makers here? In doing so, we avoid Eurocentric arrogance as much as uncritical adoption of external narratives.
