How the directory works
A reference, not a database of claims: every entry is built from reporting we have checked, every line has a source and a date, and no company can pay to be here or to look better.
Sources
Entries are extracted from our published articles — each fact with the quote it rests on and a link to the piece. Company figures are marked as company claims. Where we have no evidence, the field says so instead of guessing.
Europe status
One scale for every company: how far is it in Europe?
We rate only confirmed facts with a source — announcements that have not materialised do not count. The scale is the same across all fields.

Independence rules
No paid entries. Profiles, status and placement cannot be bought.
Nothing for sale. The directory is free, has no accounts and sells nothing; if any commercial relationship between the publisher and a listed company ever existed, its page would say so.
Corrections. Every page carries a correction address; changes are dated.
Sanctions. Companies on EU or US lists are reported on, never promoted; the status is shown on the page.
People. Only public roles, no private data.
Who builds it
Inside China AI is edited by Armin Reinelt — about, editorial standards. The directory grows from reporting first; companies help by sending documents, never by sending money.
